how does (The Giver) end?

i read a book called The Giver. This book is about a kid called Jonas, he lived in a small community, it’s a weird community that the people in it never seen the outside world before, they don’t have feelings, they can only see black and white, they all get same thing for everything. They’re mostly like clones. But once jonas got the most important job in the community called (the receiver) which he gets the outside world knowledge passed down to him from the giver, them two were the only one who have real emotions and real world knowledge in the community since the beginning they got this job. Jonas found the life is boring to stay in this community, and he want to help these people in the community know the real world knowledge, he also wanted them to enjoy the fun of real world. So he decided to escape and search for a real world community.

As Jonas escaped, he brought Gabriel, one of his family unit with him that he discovered he could transfer his knowledge to him. They been through really tough real world weather as they escaped, in the end they were very very weak, and they saw a sled and slide down the hill, they heard people celebrating christmas and warm light and loving each other, then the story ended.

I think they died. Because if there really were a village down the hill, then i think they would have discover it/hear people’s voice earlier before they even sat on the sled, but they didn’t. So i think they saw those things happening because they started to pass out, and visualized their dream happened.

engagement grades

community contributor: 1
From the start of taking physics class till know, i didn't really paired up with lots of groups, i mostly work with the teacher or a small group, even though it's like that i never been a captain of a small group either, because i barely knew any basic physics equations. So i didn't really helped much for a group.

critical thinker: 1.3
If i met a question that i don't understand, i will try to solve it and look at all the formulas i can use in my notebook, and I'm never 100% sure which one is right to use, most of the time i give up and sitting there spinning my chair, waiting for the teacher to come and ask me what's wrong, but i knew it's hard to let him do that because he's too busy answering other people's questions. But now i know that's the wrong thing to do and from now i will try to raise my hand every time when i don't get something.

active learner: 1
For most of the time, when i don't get a question for my homework, i don't ask my parents because i knew they would stuff in a bunch of knowledge into my head based on a single simple question, what i expected was only the answer i want, so i always planned to ask my classmates tomorrow. But now i know my parents stuff in a bunch of ways and reasons of how to solve this problem is because they love me, they want me to go to a good school and have lots of knowledge it's the reason they born me to provide this world more ideas and knowledge.

person of high character: 1.8
I've been always following the rules in class and i don't yell just because i don't get a question.

effective communicator: 1.4
There was this time i paired up with one guy in a project, our group only had two people, i gave him some suggestions of how to solve this problem, and he said it's pretty interesting and tried it and it worked.

final grade: 6.5/10
